What is the purpose of the Quality Controller?
Your role is to work as part of a team of multi-skilled Inspectors in a diverse manufacturing environment covering Aerospace products, Investment Castings, Mechanical and Electrical components, and composites.
What are the responsibilities of the Quality Controller?
* Mechanical / Electrical inspection of Aerospace product
* In Process Inspection
* First Article Inspection
* Work on own initiatives and resolve any issues or problems in line with company procedures
* Investigate quality issues to resolution, in conjunction with all necessary internal or external bodies relating to product/process/system. These may be initiated by internal or external customers
* Maintenance of Quality Records and Metrics
* Support the shop floor with Technical issues if required
* Auditing of Approved Operators
* Support training of others in products and processes for your area
* Because of the changing nature of our business, your job description will inevitably change. You will, from time to time, be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within your capabilities as directed by management.
* You will be required to undertake all responsibilities above in line with your Grade
What are the qualifications and experience required for the Quality Controller?
* Use of Measuring Equipment
* Able to interpret Engineering Drawings
* Previous experience required, although training can be provided
* Experience of Goods In Inspection and processes advantageous
* Aerospace knowledge is advantageous
* Experience of FAIRs to AS 9102
* IT Skills
* Root Cause Tools – 5 why's / 8D
* City & Guilds
* An apprentice trained in a relevant discipline is advantageous
