NQA UK Business Development Manager

About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Business Development professional who can bring talent, drive and fresh thinking to help propel our business forward. This is a remote-based sales role covering business development activities across the UK and Ireland. You will gain invaluable experience and exposure working on a variety of exciting sales opportunities for a large, diverse and ambitious organisation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Meet and exceed personal sales targets.
2. Arrange and conduct sales meetings and presentations both virtually and face-to-face across the UK.
3. Support the wider Business Development team and Commercial Director to achieve team sales targets.
4. Build positive relationships with new and existing clients to increase initial and retention revenues.
5. Develop relationships with consultants to increase quotes and sales conversions.
6. Support the Commercial Director at sales visits, exhibitions and events when required.
7. Proactively maintain and grow key customer accounts.
8. Develop new clients and support tenders on an ad hoc basis.
9. Maintain accurate records of enquiries, sales and transactions using Salesforce.
10. Maximise sales of products and services and develop appropriate sales channels.
11. Ensure the customer experience is reflected in all sales activities and propositions.
12. Support initiatives to increase Consultant engagement and undertake other duties as required by the Commercial Director.
13. Periodic attendance at Head Office meetings will be required.
Skills & Competences
Essential
14. Ability to establish effective working relationships internally and externally at both senior and operational levels.
15. Experience of business development in the TIC (Testing, Inspection & Certification) industry.
16. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and personal accountability for sales performance.
17. Results-focused with the ability to work well under pressure.
18. Ability to understand and utilise financial and management information and make informed decisions.
19. Experience developing and implementing sales strategies and tactical plans.
20. Track record of setting and achieving challenging targets for the sales function.
21. Strong commercial selling skills and the ability to "sell" services.
22. Full clean driving licence.
Desirable
23. Demonstrable understanding of the markets in which NQA UK operates.
24. Experience of business development in the certification or professional services industry.
25. Knowledge of Salesforce.
