Cover Supervisor – Durham Secondary School
Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Cover Supervisor for a Durham secondary school starting January 2026. Full time position. Ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced support staff wanting classroom experience.
What you'll be doing:
Supervising lessons across KS3 and KS4 when teachers are absent. Delivering pre prepared lesson plans, managing classroom behaviour, keeping students on task, providing feedback to teachers on how lessons went. You're maintaining continuity of learning, not teaching from scratch.
You need:
* Confidence and organisation
* Good communication skills
* Ability to engage students across different subjects
* Classroom presence and behaviour management capability
* Degree or strong academic background is advantageous
* School experience desirable but not essential
