Freelance Interpreter (Polish – English)
ClearPath Languages is currently building a network of freelance interpreters to support upcoming interpreting contracts.
We are looking for bilingual Polish–English speakers who are confident communicating in both languages and interested in working as interpreters in community, public service, and professional settings.
This is a freelance role and an opportunity to join our growing linguist database as we prepare for new contracts and bookings.
Responsibilities
* Provide face-to-face interpreting between Polish and English
* Accurately relay information accurately between both parties
* Maintain professionalism and confidentiality during assignments
* Support clear communication in settings such as healthcare, public services, and business environments
Requirements
* Fluent in Polish and English
* Professional attitude and reliability
* Full right-to-work in the UK
* Ability to travel around the Hull area (additional locations may be available for linguists happy to travel further)
Pay Structure
ClearPath Languages operates a linguist tier system where pay depends on experience and qualifications.
Entry‑level interpreters with no professional experience will start at £12.21 per hour (UK minimum wage). As experience and credentials grow, linguists can move up to higher tiers with increased pay.
DBS Requirement
An Enhanced DBS check will be required for this role. The cost of the DBS check must initially be covered by the applicant. After a set number of completed bookings, ClearPath Languages will reimburse the cost of the DBS check.
We are currently building our interpreter database in preparation for upcoming contracts. Bookings may not start immediately and consistent work is expected to begin around late April to mid‑May.
We are looking for dedicated linguists who understand that bookings may be limited at the start but are interested in joining early and growing with the company as opportunities increase.
What’s great about working with ClearPath Languages
* Opportunity to start interpreting even without previous professional experience
* Clear path to higher linguist tiers and better pay as experience grows
* Flexible freelance work that can fit around other commitments
* Opportunity to grow from freelance work into more consistent or full‑time roles as the company expands
* Be part of a growing company where early team members can develop with the business
If you are bilingual in Polish and English and interested in becoming part of our interpreter network, we would love to hear from you.
