Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct Evaluations: Identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
* Develop Treatment Plans: Create and implement individualized plans to support student communication goals.
* Collaborate: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate speech therapy into the educational setting.
* Maintain Documentation: Keep accurate records and progress reports in compliance with school policies and IDEA regulations.
* Participate in Team Meetings: Contribute to multidisciplinary planning processes to enhance student outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Certification: Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
* Licensure: State licensure or eligibility to practice in Michigan.
* Experience: Background in working with school-aged children, preferably in a K-12 educational environment.
* Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, families, and staff.
* Independence: Ability to manage caseloads independently while maintaining confidentiality.
