Role Overview:
We are seeking a practical, hands-on CET Systems Technician to work onboard trains, identifying, diagnosing, and rectifying faults with Controlled Emission Toilet (CET) systems. This role involves travelling on trains across the network, carrying out reactive and preventative maintenance to ensure CET systems and associated interior fittings remain safe, functional, and compliant.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ride trains in service or out of service to inspect CET systems and associated equipment
* Diagnose and repair CET system faults, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues
* Replace and repair interior fixtures and fittings such as mirrors, tables, panels, and minor trim items
* Carry out component replacements and minor modifications as required
* Record faults, repairs, and parts used accurately using maintenance systems or paperwork
* Liaise with control, depot staff, and maintenance teams to report defects and hand over work
* Ensure all work is completed in line with safety standards, maintenance instructions, and company procedures.
* Maintain tools, equipment, and spares stock responsibly.
Previous Rail experience required no formal qualifications
