Material Handling Operator – Lincoln
Belcan Workforce Solutions is recruiting a Material Handling Operator to join a busy, safety-led logistics operation based in Lincoln. This inside IR35 contract role offers a great opportunity to work within a structured warehouse environment, supporting critical engineering and manufacturing activities while developing your skills in materials handling and stock control.
The role focuses on the day-to-day movement of materials across the site, ensuring goods are received, stored, picked and dispatched accurately and efficiently. You will work as part of a collaborative team, contributing to smooth operations and ensuring stock accuracy is maintained at all times. As a Material Handling Operator, you will be expected to work proactively, manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively with colleagues across the business.
This position offers stability, consistent on-site working and the chance to gain experience in a well-established logistics setting with clear processes and safety standards. As a Material Handling Operator, you will play a key role in supporting operational priorities while working to defined procedures and deadlines.
Key responsibilities include:
* Receiving and checking incoming goods against delivery documentation
* Booking materials into stock systems and maintaining accurate records
* Picking, kitting and packing materials for internal use and dispatch
* Operating forklifts, pallet trucks and other manual handling equipment
* Moving materials safely within warehouse and storage areas
* Supporting regular stock checks and inventory activities
* Adhering to health, safety and quality procedures at all times
Essential requirements:
* Previous warehouse or stores experience
* Forklift or materials handling equipment experience
* Basic computer skills
* Strong attention to detail and a safety-first approach
This role is offered on an inside IR35 basis, paying £15.26 per hour PAYE or £20.50 per hour via umbrella, with overtime paid at 1.25x during the week and 1.5x at weekends.
This is a fully site‑based role in Lincoln, with flexibility required to travel between local sites as part of normal working arrangements.
