Job Opportunity: Pelvic Health Physiotherapist
We have an exciting opportunity for a professional, passionate, and highly motivated physiotherapist to join the Pelvic Health Physiotherapy team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. This position is based in Colchester and Tendring, with outpatient clinics at Colchester General Hospital.
The Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Team provides holistic early intervention services within a multidisciplinary setting, working with colleagues across the region to support pelvic health. The role involves providing advanced clinical support, contributing to service development, and delivering excellent care to patients with complex conditions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assess, diagnose, and treat female and male patients with bowel, bladder, and sexual dysfunctions, including vulnerable adults and those with mental health issues, collaborating with other MDTs as needed.
2. Utilize clinical reasoning to determine diagnoses and appropriate treatments, with competence in vaginal and anorectal examinations.
3. Support planning, coordination, and evaluation of the Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Service, deputizing for the Team Lead when necessary.
4. Supervise, teach, and appraise junior staff and support student physiotherapists.
5. Act as a specialist resource for multidisciplinary teams, patients, and colleagues, providing expert advice and support.
6. Stay updated with research and clinical developments, identifying training needs and facilitating learning.
7. Contribute to service development and quality improvement through clinical audits and implementing changes.
