This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high‑quality swimming programmes for ourmunity, supporting participants of all ages and abilities.As part of our dedicated team, you will contribute to the development and delivery of centre‑based swimming activities, school swimming programmes, and a wide range of lessons and sessions promoted by Leisure. Principal Duties and Responsibilities
1. Support the organisation and development of all centre‑based swimming programmes.
2. Assist in delivering an effective schools’ swimming programme in line with themon core curriculum, working collaboratively with coaching and teaching staff.
3. Teach, coach, and supervise a wide range of swimming sessions for infants, adults, and specialist groups.
4. Maintain consistently high standards of customer care.
5. Assist with the organisation of swimming galas and other aquatic events.
6. Liaise with school staff on curriculum‑related matters.
7. Carry out administrative duties associated with the role.
8. Respond proactively to changes in industry trends and best practice.
9. Support the maintenance of relevant quality awards, ensuring systems remain current and effective.
10. Ensurepliance with Council policies, procedures, legislation, and Health & Safety guidelines, promoting equality and safe practice at all times.
11. Undertake any other duties appropriate to the nature of the post.

Essential CriteriaQualifications
12. Recognised Level 2 Swimming Teaching qualification (IASA, ASA, STA or equivalent), entitling the holder to teach independently.
Experience
13. Minimum 1 year of professional swimming teaching experience, including schools, clubs, or private lessons.
Other Requirements
14. Willingness to work a flexible rota, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
15. Willingness to undergo a pre‑employment Access NI check.
Desirable Criteria
16. Recognised academic qualification related to the leisure industry.
17. Additional sports‑specific coaching qualifications.
18. Recognised First Aid qualification.
19. Customer care or Wee Host certificate.
20. Current recognised lifesaving qualification (, National Pool Lifeguard Qualification or equivalent).
21. Previous experience working within the leisure industry.
