Production Shift Supervisor (Nights) Location : Coventry Salary : £42,000 £4,268.16 night shift allowance Hours : 38 per week Benefits : £1,000 annual attendance bonus (paid £250 quarterly), 1x basic salary death in service, Medicash employee cash plan (post-probation) Industry : Automotive manufacturing Shift Pattern : Nights: Monday Thursday, 10 pm 6 am Friday, 6 pm midnight Introduction We are supporting a leading automotive manufacturing business in Coventry to recruit a Night Shift Supervisor. This is a key role, responsible for managing a production team, driving performance, and ensuring production targets are met safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Lead and motivate staff to achieve production targets and customer requirements. Work with Production Management to agree and deliver production plans. Drive Continuous Improvement through KPIs, CCARs, Scorecards, SQDCME, and Work Group Boards. Collaborate with HR to manage performance, absence, and timekeeping. Act as a health and safety representative, ensuring compliance across the shift. Maintain appropriate staffing levels and skills, including managing holidays via the attendance system. Develop and upskill team members to meet business demands. Ensure compliance with company policies and health and safety regulations. Report machine/equipment malfunctions and coordinate with support departments. Support TPM schedules and maintenance of production machinery. Ensure product supply to internal plants and that finished goods meet customer deadlines. Promote and sustain a world-class 5S culture with auditable processes. Qualifications and Experience Proven supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred). Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills. Effective team management and collaboration abilities. Willingness to undertake training and continuous development.
