As a History Teacher, you will inspire students to explore historical events, develop critical thinking skills, and gain a deeper understanding of the world around them. You will play a key role in fostering curiosity, discussion, and academic progress within a positive learning environment. Teacher of History Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons aligned with the national curriculum. Encourage critical thinking, debate, and analytical skills through engaging teaching. Assess, monitor, and report on student progress effectively. Maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment. Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies. Work collaboratively with colleagues to support whole-school initiatives. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge in History or a related field. Previous experience teaching History in secondary schools is desirable. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities. A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
