Job Description:
Responsible for all aspects of manufacturing and managing the manufacturing team in a high-volume, low-value bespoke printed product environment. Ensure effective training, management, development, and deployment of departmental teams to meet customer and company objectives. Actively review performance using metrics, support continuous improvement programs to optimize manufacturing efficiency, throughput, and service delivery. Apply lean principles and the theory of constraints collaboratively and coach-based management approach. Collaborate with the Managing Director and management team to develop and implement strategies aligning with business goals and compliance with legislation.
Key Responsibilities & Critical Success Measures
* Manage all aspects of production to meet KPI targets and sales goals.
* Provide clear reporting on manufacturing progress, risks, and mitigations.
* Deliver motivational coaching and personal development initiatives for manufacturing staff.
* Develop a flexible, adaptable team with talent nurturing and succession planning.
* Create and monitor production metrics supporting KPI achievement.
* Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and health, safety, and environmental legislation.
* Prioritize digitization of customer variable data for seamless business use.
* Collaborate with sales, customer service, and e-commerce to support sales growth and product opportunities.
* Work with finance to develop budgets and KPIs.
* Participate as an influential member of the senior management team.
* Support profitability and long-term business objectives in partnership with the Managing Director.
* Implement Lean, Theory of Constraints, and 5S methodologies where appropriate.
* Identify, plan, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
* Maintain employee training matrices, develop programs, and manage performance.
* Support customer visits and promote the business internally and externally.
* Drive change within the organization.

* Create operational solutions for volume growth and asset utilization.
