Employment Details
* Fixed‑term for 2 years, with the possibility of permanency.

* Full‑time, 35 hours per week excluding breaks.

About The Role
The Trainee Manager Programme offers rotations in Food, Beverage, Housekeeping, Front Office, Duty Management, and later Head Office Teams in Central Reservations, IT, and People & Culture.
Job Description
* Complete assigned series of rotations, starting with core roles in each department.
* Perform operational tasks undertaken by teams, progressing progressively.
* Support departmental managers in delivering exceptional guest experiences.
* Develop knowledge and skills in each placement.
* Be knowledgeable of facilities and services, proactively selling to guests.
* Promote a harmonious working environment; treat all employees with respect and dignity.
* Ensure compliance with Hastings quality standards, procedures, safety, health and licensing laws.
* Assist guests with reasonable hotel service requests.
* Maintain service areas, fixtures, equipment to standards.
* Maintain safe environment in compliance with health, safety, fire, hygiene and security legislation.
* Comply with licensing laws, Customs and Excise Regulations and other relevant legislation.
* Carry out any other duties as required by management.
In Year Two of the Programme
* Support management and motivation of employees via communication, training, and development.
* Act as Duty Manager at your assigned property.
* Respond to queries and complaints, finding appropriate solutions.
* Maintain effective communication and relationships with other hotel departments.
Learning & Development
* Engage fully in each rotation, building skills from entry level to supervisory and managerial roles.
* Complete accredited qualification with Ulster University: leadership, KPIs, service excellence, change management, team building.
* Take responsibility for personal learning, development and reflection throughout the programme.
Required Criteria
* Right to work in the UK.
* Professional appearance.
* Passion for hospitality and delivering memorable experiences.
* Educated to Level 2 (GSCE) or equivalent with grades A‑C in English and Mathematics.
* Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring service and presentation standards met.
* Collaborative and positive attitude; ability to work well within a team.
* Ability to commute to varied locations across Northern Ireland (driving licence not required).
Desired Criteria
* Educated to Level 6 (Undergraduate Degree) or equivalent in a relevant field e.g., Tourism and Hospitality Management.
* Previous experience in hospitality.
Salary
Up to £25,160.00 per annum.
