About the Role
The Radiology Directorate at The Christie is seeking to appoint new substantive Consultant Radiologists with a special interest in Oncological Cross‑Sectional Imaging. The appointee will be based at The Christie’s main site in Withington (home working will also be accommodated) and will join a team of 27 Consultant Radiologists.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out cancer imaging in CT, MRI, Ultrasound and PET (training for PET CT will be provided if required).
* Chair Cancer MDTs.
* Provide reporting for the regional PET‑CT service and other imaging modalities.
* Support hospital‑wide multidisciplinary team meetings.
* Participate in research and clinical trials.
* Deliver teaching to the North West School of Radiology and the Christie PET Academy.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in all aspects of cancer imaging.
* Expertise in CT, MRI, Ultrasound and PET imaging.
* Experience in chairing Cancer MDTs.
* Interest in routine interventional radiology procedures is desirable.
* Eligible for GMC specialist register for Radiology within 6 months of interview date.
* Will be required to apply for an enhanced DBS.
Post Details
* 10 Programmed Activities (PAs) per week, inclusive of 2.5 SPA.
* Substantive post with on‑call commitment.
* Will be required to apply for an enhanced DBS (already mentioned).
* CCT date must be included in membership of professional bodies section of online application, along with GMC number.
