Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience (MPS/UPS equivalent)
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Dance Teacher to join a supportive network of schools in Greenwich. This is a fantastic temporary opportunity to work in a borough with a diverse range of high-achieving secondary schools and sixth forms.
This role requires a specialist who is confident and experienced in teaching Key Stage 5 (KS5). You will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons that prepare students for their A-Levels or BTECs, building on the strong performing arts traditions found in many of our local schools.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality Dance lessons to KS5 students, ensuring lessons are differentiated and inclusive.
* Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in both practical and theoretical components of the course.
* Assess, track, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.
* Work collaboratively with the Performing Arts department to contribute to the wider life of the school, potentially including extra-curricular clubs or showcase events.
What We Are Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant specialism in Dance or Performing Arts.
* Proven experience teaching Dance at KS5, with a strong understanding of A-Level or BTEC specifications.
* A creative and passionate teacher with excellent classroom management skills.
* The ability to build strong relationships with students and staff to hit the ground running in a temporary position.
