What we are looking for
Reporting to the Graphic Design Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity for a designer to gain hands-on experience across all aspects of a creative role. You will have the chance to work on print, digital media and packaging, producing on-brand creative solutions that help drive the business forward.
We are looking for someone who is motivated to produce high-quality design work, with a keen eye for detail. You should be organised and thorough, capable of managing your workload to meet deadlines. A team player who is eager to get involved across the business, you should also be confident in sharing ideas and open to learning and growing within the role.
The ideal candidate will have strong creative skills and a portfolio that demonstrates passion for illustrative design, typography and packaging. You should have experience working across multiple design platforms including digital, print and packaging formats, and be open to learning new skills and techniques to enhance your creativity.
About the role
* Work as part of the team to ensure design briefs are delivered to a high standard and in line with brand guidelines
* Produce packaging designs for our brands based on style guides, working closely with the Buying and Sourcing teams as well as our factories to ensure consistency and meet deadlines
* Create graphic content for e-commerce including website banners, Amazon store updates, email marketing content and creative assets for social media
* Contribute to the art direction and visual identity of our photography, creating shoot briefs, researching concepts and working closely with the photographer to deliver imagery for packaging and social media
* Assist with retouching imagery for mock-ups, presentations and other marketing materials
* Design presentations for retailers, showcasing product ranges and supporting the Sales team with impactful designs
* Maintain and update brand catalogues
* Generate ideas to strengthen brand presence, drawing inspiration from colleagues, competitors and social media trends
Experience
* Minimum of 1 year experience working as a graphic designer, preferably in the retail industry
* Strong graphic design skills with understanding of branding, layout, colour theory and typography across both print and digital media
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
* Preferably some knowledge of video editing and animation, with experience in Premiere Pro or After Effects an advantage
* Preferably retouching skills for photography and product imagery
