Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join Conwy Council's School Finance Team on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Key Duties Will Include: * Assisting in the preparation of annual school budgets for primary, secondary and special schools. * Supporting schools with financial planning and projections to maximise resource effectiveness. * Assisting in the closure of accounts and preparation of final year-end figures. * Maintaining a financial reporting system for all primary schools, including monthly reconciliations. * Providing advice to schools on all aspects of budget management, payments, and charges. * Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, VAT rules, and audit requirements. * Responding to queries from schools, suppliers, and internal departments. * Regularly visiting schools to deliver financial support and resolve administrative or financial issues.
