The Client
We’re working exclusively with a leading global investment platform that operates across multiple private markets asset classes. This fast-growing business is expanding its private markets legal team and is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to help deliver its strategic growth initiatives, particularly within infrastructure finance. This is a dynamic opportunity for a senior finance or infrastructure lawyer to work across a variety of cross-border infrastructure investments. You’ll support both debt and leveraged equity transactions and play a central role in executing complex deals across the UK and Europe.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
* Advising on the full spectrum of infrastructure finance transactions, particularly cross-border debt and leveraged equity deals
* Acting as a key legal advisor to internal stakeholders across the private markets business
* Structuring and negotiating investments and managing legal risks across corporate and finance elements of transactions
* Overseeing external counsel on large and complex mandates, managing legal spend and ensuring seamless execution
* Contributing to the growth of the legal team’s influence and capabilities in a collaborative, high-performance environment
The Profile
* Qualified lawyer in England & Wales 5PQE+ that trained at a reputable City firm (but open to those outside this range with strong credentials)
* Strong track record in UK and European infrastructure finance, with experience across debt and/or equity investments
* Background in cross-border project finance or acquisition finance is highly desirable
* Comfortable managing complex transactions and advising at the highest levels of an organisation
* A problem solver with the ability to adapt legal advice to commercial realities
