Oak View Group is reinventing the way the world comes together. Driven by a passion to revolutionise the live events industry with dynamic thinking and an unshakeable dedication to those we serve, OVG turns up the volume on what makes life extraordinary. From inspired development to curated hospitality, from brand innovation to premium for all, OVG is setting new standards and redefining expectations for everyone. Sky Garden sits at the very top of 20 Fenchurch Street — better known as the 'Walkie Talkie' — one of London's most recognisable landmarks. At 35 floors up, it's home to two restaurants, two bars, and a series of stunning event spaces, all set within a sprawling landscaped garden with sweeping views across the capital. The operation is managed by Rhubarb, a leading luxury hospitality company and part of Oak View Group (OVG) — a global powerhouse in live entertainment and venue management. It's a complex, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders, high volumes, and absolutely no room for the back of house operation to slip. We're looking for an experienced Back of House Manager to take ownership of the goods-in, logistics, event set-up and day-to-day BOH operations at Sky Garden. Working closely with the Culinary and BOH Manager, you'll be the person who keeps everything moving — literally — managing deliveries through the building's loading bay, coordinating stock across multiple outlets, leading a team of porters, and ensuring the venue is set and ready for every event. This is a genuinely challenging operation. The building's BOH infrastructure — back-of-house lifts, a busy loading bay, walkie-talkie communications across floors — demands someone who is methodical under pressure, a natural problem-solver, and completely at ease managing a team in a high-stakes environment. You'll be a key part of a multi-stakeholder operation, working alongside building management, culinary teams, events, and F&B at every level. What you'll be doing Supervising all deliveries through the loading bay, ensuring goods are received, checked, and logged accurately Managing stock control across the operation — tracking levels, flagging discrepancies, and working closely with the culinary team on ordering and storage Leading, scheduling, and motivating the porter team — setting standards, delegating tasks, and supporting their development Coordinating event set-up logistics — moving equipment, furniture, and supplies across the venue efficiently and to schedule Maintaining food safety standards throughout the BOH, including temperature monitoring, storage compliance, and documentation Upholding health and safety across all back-of-house areas, conducting regular checks and raising issues promptly Liaising with building management, F&B teams, events staff, and external suppliers — keeping communication flowing across a complex, multi-floor operation Using BOH radio systems (walkie-talkies) to manage real-time coordination across the building Supporting due diligence processes, maintenance reporting, and ongoing BOH administration What we're looking for You'll ideally come from a hotel, large restaurant group, events venue or stadium — in a comparable BOH or logistics management role. Previous kitchen or chef experience is a real advantage and will be looked on favourably. Proven experience in stock control and large-scale logistics, ideally within hospitality or events Strong organisational and administrative skills — you stay on top of the detail even when it gets busy A confident, clear communicator who can hold their own with multiple teams and stakeholders Good instincts and initiative — you spot problems before they escalate and find solutions quickly Experience managing or supervising a team, with a positive, lead-by-example approach Sound knowledge of food safety, COSHH, and health and safety requirements in a catering or hospitality setting Physically fit and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Good to know Sky Garden is open seven days a week and operates late into the evening — shifts will include weekends and unsociable hours, particularly around events. The BOH at a venue like this is never quiet, and the role demands someone who genuinely thrives on that. In return, you'll be working somewhere that very few people get to go behind the scenes of — a world-class venue with a team that takes real pride in what they do, backed by the scale and support of Oak View Group. Please note, this role pays £46,000 - 50,000 DOE and is 100% on site at Sky Garden.
