Maintenance Engineer Dudley, West Midlands £40,000 – £50,000 per year (including shift allowance) Rotating 2 Shift Pattern Weekly Pay + Overtime Available The Opportunity A well-established steel processing company based in Dudley is currently looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team. You will be working as part of a two-person engineering team on shift, alongside an electrician, supporting the maintenance and reliability of plant machinery. Working Hours Rotating 3-shift pattern:
o 6:00am – 2:00pm
o 2:00pm – 10:00pm
Salary & Benefits
o £40,000 – £45,000 annual salary (including shift allowance)

Role Responsibilities
o Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across plant and machinery.
o Respond to breakdowns and reactive maintenance issues to minimise downtime.
o Work safely and professionally while adhering to company health and safety procedures.
o Complete shift reports and maintenance documentation.
o Communicate effectively with supervisors and the wider engineering team.
Key Duties
o Maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
o General welding and fabrication work
o Oxygen / acetylene burning
o Bench fitting and mechanical repairs
o Operation of forklifts, cherry pickers and overhead cranes (OHC) where required
Experience & Qualifications
o Time served apprenticeship preferred
o NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Mechanical Maintenance Engineering
o Previous experience within heavy industry or manufacturing environments
o Experience with steel processing equipment such as slitting or decoiling lines would be advantageous
o Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
