What Youll Be Doing
* Designing innovative mechanical solutions in SolidWorks.
* Producing customer layout drawings, BOMs, detailed 2D drawings, assemblies, and fabrications.
* Creating pneumatic schematics and ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
* Collaborating with electrical/software teams for optimised designs.
* Supporting the shop floor during build, test, and commissioning phases.
* Identifying opportunities for product improvements and innovation.
* Producing manuals, test plans, and validation documentation to support quality standards.
Essential
What Were Looking For
* Recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering (BTEC, HNC, or equivalent).
* Minimum 5 years experience in machinery design.
* Skilled user of 3D CAD software (ideally SolidWorks).
* Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
* Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills.
* Desirable:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering / working towards Chartered status.
* Experience in machinery build, commissioning, and validation.
* AutoCAD experience for customer layouts.
* Knowledge of pneumatic systems.
Personal Attributes
* A confident communicator with strong attention to detail.
* Able to use initiative and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Flexible to travel in the UK and overseas for site surveys/support.
* Holds a valid UK Right to work.
