Bus/PSV Shift Mechanic
1. Based at our Arran depot, located at Brodick, Isle of Arran

Looking for a hands-on mechanical role where your skills keep the community moving?
We’re looking for a proactive and skilled Bus/PSV Mechanic to join our friendly team at Stagecoach Arran. Whether you’re from a truck, HGV, automotive, plant, or rail background, This is your opportunity to work on a modern and varied fleet, including hybrid and electric vehicles, supported by ongoing training as technology and vehicle systems continue to evolve.
What you’ll be doing:
4. Maintaining and repairing our fleet of buses to DVSA and Stagecoach safety standards
5. Diagnosing and fixing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
6. Carrying out routine inspections, servicing, and occasional roadside repairs
7. Supporting apprentices by sharing your knowledge and experience
8. Working safely and efficiently as part of a collaborative depot team
What we’re looking for:
9. NVQ Level 3 in HGV or PSV Maintenance (or equivalent)
10. Hands-on experience working on commercial or specialist vehicles
11. A safety-first attitude and strong attention to detail
12. A team player with good communication skills
13. Previous experience working on buses or large passenger vehicles (desirable)
