Ongar Health Centre are looking to welcome a dispenser into our busy practice, who will play a full and active role as part of the practice multi- disciplinary team. The role is offered on a part-time basis for 23 hours per week. Hours will be discussed at interview. The main responsibilities of the role include: Dispensing medicines and collecting prescription charges. Maintaining stock levels within the dispensary, liaising with the dispensing manager to facilitate reordering. Receiving and storing supplies, ensuring the cold chain is maintained. Ensuring controlled drugs are dispensed in accordance with practice policy. Safely disposing of returned and/or out of date medicines. Ensuring all repeat prescriptions are processed within a 72-hour timeframe. Providing patients with advice regarding all prescription matters. Always maintaining a clean and safe working environment. About the Candidate If you are an experienced dispenser looking for an exciting new role, then we'd love to hear from you. You will have the following skills and experience: NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services is essential Previous experience of working within a dispensary is desirable but not essential Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment A clear and polite telephone manner Respectful of patient confidentiality Ability to work well as part of a team and autonomously.
