Job Title: IT Manager/Network Manager (School Setting)
As the IT Manager/Network Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the management, security, availability, maintenance, and installation of the school's ICT network, including both software and hardware infrastructure. You will monitor IT technicians on site and collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement plans for the school's IT infrastructure projects. Your role is crucial in ensuring the ICT network is optimized for effective use by staff and students, while maintaining stability and security.
You must demonstrate a high level of commitment to delivering excellent client services that reflect company values. Your responsibilities include fostering effective communication between MSP and the school, staying updated on services and solutions offered, and managing customer accounts.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Managing the school's ICT applications and network infrastructure.
2. Providing 2nd and 3rd line support.
3. Ensuring all work complies with school policies.
4. Managing daily IT operations and addressing requests promptly.
5. Line managing ICT support staff.
6. Providing technical advice, training, and support to staff.
7. Monitoring and maintaining key systems, including servers, switches, Microsoft 365, and backups.
8. Training internal staff on IT systems.
Ideal Candidate:
* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an IT Manager, Network Manager, or Senior ICT Consultant within a school environment.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to service improvement.
* Self-motivated with excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
* Understanding of the responsibilities and requirements of working within a school setting.
* Experience in performing upgrades to school IT networks.
* The role is full-time and subject to an enhanced DBS check.
The client offers a salary between £32,000 and £38,000 (negotiable), along with benefits such as access to a wellbeing hub, electric/hybrid car leasing scheme, salary sacrifice pension scheme, and more.
