We’re looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Customer Sales Advisor to support our growing Contract division. In this office-based role, you’ll manage a portfolio of customers, provide outstanding service, and help drive sales performance. It’s ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, sales-driven environment and enjoys building long-lasting client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
1. Answer incoming calls within 3 rings
2. Respond to customer emails within 24 hours
3. Action credit control notes within 48 hours
4. Accurately process customer orders and minimise errors
5. Create quotations within 48 hours and look to maximise spend
6. Keep internal systems updated with accurate and relevant information
7. Identify new business opportunities from inbound and outbound calls
8. Promote exclusive brand products where appropriate
9. Offer suitable alternative products to avoid backorders
10. Manage customer communication around backorders professionally
11. Use marketing materials to support customer engagement and conversion
12. Handle live chat in accordance with the team rota
13. Provide support to National Account Managers and Executives with product sourcing, tenders, etc.
14. Make proactive outbound calls to trading customers to generate sales
15. Work to and achieve agreed KPIs
16. Attend regular one-to-ones to review performance and training needs
17. Follow all procedures as outlined in the Sales Desk Quality Manual
18. Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times
Person Specification Essential Attributes
19. Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
20. Confident using computers and technology
21. Previous experience in a customer service or office-based sales environment
22. Comfortable with both incoming and outgoing phone calls
23. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
24. Ability to meet targets and manage workload effectively
25. Strong organisational skills and time management
26. Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team
27. Positive attitude and willingness to learn
