Overview
Our client is a market leader providing industry leading solutions and products to the egg industry in the UK. They are looking for the right person to join their team of UK Service Engineers. This role is all about supporting their client base across the UK and the work is varied including: installation of brand new machinery, servicing and planned maintenance as well as responding to breakdowns. There is also a helpdesk aspect to the role providing telephone support to clients. A willingness to learn, positive attitude and honest and integrity are key attributes our client is looking for.

Responsibilities
A willingness to attend service and support calls at short notice
Significant overnight stays and travel (up to 100 days per annum) - travel, accommodation and meal costs are met in full by our client
Installation of new machinery
Planned maintenance and repair
Emergency maintenance and repairs
Some overseas travel in the first 18 months for training and to install machinery
Candidate requirements
A minimum of five years experience in a relevant field (for example automotive, agriculture, heavy plant, production and conveyors)
Mechanical and electrical engineering experience with a mechanical bias - candidates can be time served as there is no requirement to hold formal qualifications
Ideally candidates will come from a field engineering background
Good communication skills
Ability to use initiative

Self motivated
A clean UK driving licence
A valid passport as there is some overseas travel to Ireland and the Netherlands
Benefits and reward package
Base salary of £33,000 and guaranteed overtime for OTE of £41,000

23 days holiday per annum (rising with length of service), plus bank holidays and three days between Christmas and New Year
Overnight away from home allowance of £30 per night
Night work allowance of £100 per shift
Food allowance - reasonable food expenses are covered with a daily allowance up to £40
Overtime paid at time and a half and double time depending on hours
Private Medical Insurance (after completion of probation) - family members can be added as an additional cost
