Careermakers are currently looking for a Childrens home manager with the following experience in the Bury area:
Responsibilities:
* Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of a residential children’s home.
* Ensure the safety, welfare, and well-being of the children and young people residing in the home.
* Ensure that the home is run in compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
* Lead and manage a team of staff to provide a high-quality service to children and young people.
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, young people, their families, and other stakeholders.
* Ensure that the home meets or exceeds OFSTED’s requirements and maintain a good or outstanding rating.
* Plan and manage the home’s budget and resources effectively.
* Participate in on-call duties on a rota basis.
* Maintain accurate records and reports
Requirements:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Residential Childcare).
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing an OFSTED-registered home with a rating of GOOD or above.
* Experience working with children and young people with challenging behaviours/EBD.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Excellent knowledge of current legislation, including The Children’s Homes England Regulations 2015, Quality Standards 2015, the Children’s Act 1989, Children Act 2004, and other relevant legislation related to residential children’s homes.
* Good knowledge of “ClearCare” or “Mentor” (Software for Children’s Home).
