We are currently supporting the recruitment of a Senior Payroll Executive for our client based in Kettering. Our client works with SME organisations to deliver both HR and payroll services across the UK. They pride themselves on providing exceptional payroll services to a diverse portfolio of clients and are seeking someone passionate about accuracy and efficiency to help deliver outstanding results. Up to £34,000 dependent upon experience Working hours Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm - 40 hour working week Hybrid working after training period – then 1 day in the office 25 days holiday plus Bank holidays Health Cash Plan Life Assurance scheme (4 x salary) Employee Assistance Programme Gym membership subsidy Duties and Responsibilities: Using Sage payroll software, managing the end-to-end processing of clients’ payrolls for a portfolio of clients, including processing salary, PAYE, BACS, and pensions payments Update and maintain payroll records for clients ensuring compliance within legislation rules and regulations along with clients’ own terms and conditions Liaison with key contacts for clients to ensure accuracy of payroll data and resolve payroll queries Completion of all payroll administration including filing, setting up new starters, HMRC tax codes, student loan updates and attachment of earnings Calculation of termination payments for leavers and statutory sickness, maternity, paternity, shared paternal leave and adoption payments Manual calculations of statutory entitlements to check the accuracy of automated calculations Holiday entitlement and pay P11Ds, P11d(b) and payrolling benefits RTI submissions for clients, including NI checks, FPS and EPS submissions Tax Year End submissions for clients including issuing P60s Support to the Payroll Manager and other team members Keeping up to date with changes in payroll legislation Skills and experience required: CIPP qualified or studying desirable Previous experience of completing complex end to end multiple client payrolls within a practice or bureau environment Experience of payroll software – Sage Payroll being advantageous and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables & VLOOKUPs) Experience of dealing with third party providers (pension schemes) Experience of setting up clients through HMRC portal and BACS A strong team ethic with effective communication skills Good attention to detail and the ability to organise and prioritise tasks to demanding deadlines Pro-active approach to responding to client queries
