Main duties of the job
As the Islands only district general hospital, youll be exposed to a wide range of clinical presentations, managing acute admissions while supporting patients across multiple specialties.Youll manage a wide range of acute medical presentations, typically overseeing between eight and fifteen admissions within a 24-hour period. Alongside this, youll provide expert medical advice to patients under other specialties, deliver ward-based care, and take a lead role in patient reviews and ward rounds. Your work will include prescribing and interpreting investigations, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring clear communication with patients and their families.

* Full registration and license to practice with the GMC.
* MB BS / MB ChB or equivalent.
* MRCP(UK) or equivalent.
