The key responsibilities of a Management Accountant will include:
1. Prepare and present monthly management accounts.
2. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
3. Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions.
4. Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes.
5. Implement effective cost-control measures.
6. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
7. Collaborate with other departments to improve financial procedures.
8. Advise on ways to improve profitability and reduce financial risk.
Profile
A successful Management Accountant should be:
1. Actively studying towards a professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
2. Proven experience in management accounting.
3. Strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail.
4. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and strong stakeholder management.
5. Proficiency in financial software and MS Office applications especially Excel.
6. The ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
