Are you looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor role? Interested in working for a leading Construction Company? VANRATH is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work within the Building Maintenance department for a large, leading Construction Company in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Overview:
Lead all commercial, financial, and contractual aspects of multiple projects, focusing on maximizing profitability, legal and contractual compliance, and proactive management of commercial issues. Oversee applications, valuations, payments, and ensure alignment with company policies and strategies. Play a pivotal role in guiding commercial strategy and project delivery from a financial and contractual perspective.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Project Financial Management: Oversee budgets, forecasts, financial reports, cost control, and cash collection. Provide strategic insights to maximize profitability.
2. Contract Administration: Lead contract management, negotiations, variations, and legal risk minimization.
3. Procurement and Tendering: Supervise procurement, tender documents, bid evaluation, and subcontractor/supplier selection.
4. Cost Valuation and Reporting: Conduct valuations, manage payments, prepare final accounts, and oversee profitability reporting, identifying risks and opportunities.
5. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and contractual risks, safeguarding company interests.
The Ideal Person:
* Degree qualified or relevant qualifications
* Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor
* Proven track record in senior roles managing high-value projects
* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and practices
* Advanced knowledge of contract law, building regulations, health & safety
* Excellent commercial, IT, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
* Good time management and ability to work under pressure
* Social Housing or maintenance experience preferred
