About the Service:
PALMS (positive behaviour,autism, learning disability and mental health service) works acrossHertfordshire providing a specialist multidisciplinary approach to children andyoung people aged 0-18 who have a global learning disability and/or autisticspectrum disorder and their families. PALMS clinicians comprise a virtualteam delivering a consistent service in a variety of community settings.
PALMS is a multi-disciplinaryteam who provide individually tailored support to help manage a number ofconcerns experienced at home. The service is available for children and youngpeople up to the age of 18.
Main duties of the job
The Responsibilities

To prepare assessments, intervention/reviewreports and discharge To provide highly developed specialist assessments of CYPreferred to the PALMS Team based upon appropriate use, interpretation andintegration of complex data from a variety of sources including semi-structuredinterviews with CYP, family members and others involved in the CYPs care,self-reports measures, rating scales and direct & indirect structuredobservations
To formulate and implement plans for the formalintervention and/or management of CYP presenting difficulties, includingchallenging behaviours, toileting, feeding, sleeping concerns, problematicsexualized behaviour, and/or mental health difficulties; based upon anappropriate conceptual framework of the CYPs needs and employing methods basedupon evidence of efficacy, across the full range of care settings and withother colleagues and services as appropriate.
To be responsible for a complex caseload whilstworking alongside a multi-disciplinary team to provide a coordinated andintegrated individualised care package to children and young people.

3. Doctoral level training in clinical psychology
4. HCPC Registered
5. Significant experience of working with people with a learning disability and with people with an Autistic Spectrum disorder in a range of settings and/or significant experience of working with children and young people.
