A well-established law firm in Maidstone is seeking a proactive and highly organised Legal Secretary to join their busy Residential Conveyancing team. The Role:
As a Legal Secretary in the conveyancing department, you will provide key administrative and secretarial support to fee earners, helping to ensure the smooth progression of residential property transactions. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Audio and copy typing of legal documents, correspondence, and forms
* Preparing contract packs, Land Registry applications, and SDLT submissions
* Liaising with clients, estate agents, and solicitors by phone, email, and in person
* Managing diaries, scheduling appointments, and organising meetings
* Handling incoming post, filing, and other general administrative duties
* Assisting with file management and compliance procedures
About You:
* Previous experience as a Legal Secretary in a residential conveyancing team (essential)
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital case management systems
* Excellent typing speed and accuracy (audio typing experience preferred)
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload
* Professional and friendly communication style
* A team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
