What you’ll do
UK Strategy & Wholesale is a unique and growing function that offers two different perspectives of the Vodafone UK business. The Strategy arm is responsible for Vodafone UK’s strategic planning; including functional strategy development (e.g. Consumer & Business), spectrum auctions, mergers and acquisitions, market and competitor insight, and strategic partner development (e.g. City Fibre). The Wholesale arm is responsible for driving strong commercial performance and profitability in the Wholesale business; including Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs like Virgin and Lebara), Carrier Services (selling our network to businesses who sell it onto other businesses), and Application to Person solutions (e.g. bulk messaging, charge to bill and especially API monetisation).
The Senior Commercial Lead will work collaboratively with the Wholesale business leaders to drive commercial excellence, and lead a team to:
* Create and capitalise actionable market, commercial and sales insight
* Define how to achieve long-term value, revenue and margin generation for Wholesale
* Delight customers with a product portfolio that also achieves commercial ambitions
* Maximise commercial performance of customer opportunities and accounts
* Creation of innovative commercial models
* Enable and drive Sales to sell more effectively

* Commercial strategy, modelling, hypothesise and propositions
* Pricing and bid management strategies and practice
* Commercial negotiation and contract management
