Interim Area Property Operations Manager Client: Major Central Government client Location: West Yorkshire (multi-site role) Contract: 6 months Day Rate: £550 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35) The Role: A confidential public sector organisation is looking for an Area Property Operations Manager to oversee operations across a secure, multi-site estate. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for ensuring facilities run safely, efficiently, and in line with strict regulatory standards. This is an opportunity to step into a high-responsibility environment, managing critical infrastructure and services that directly support frontline operations. Leading the day-to-day management of facilities, including security, maintenance, and support services Ensuring sites operate in line with safety, compliance, cost, and quality standards Monitoring performance and driving improvements where needed Identifying risks and implementing corrective actions to maintain service delivery Managing the development, approval, and implementation of technical specifications and safety documentation Acting as a key link between operational teams, service providers, and stakeholders Requirements: Proven experience in property or facilities management within a complex environment Strong understanding of health & safety and compliance frameworks Experience managing performance, cost control, and service delivery Ability to operate effectively in secure or regulated environments Confident stakeholder engagement and communication skills A proactive, solutions-focused approach to risk and issue management Note: Due to the sensitive nature of this role, the successful candidate will need to be willing and able to undergo Developed Vetting (DV Clearance) This is an urgent requirement - if interested, apply asap and any questions, email claire.shipman@1st-executive.com
