What Will You Be Doing?
As a Peer Support Worker, your primary focus will be to provide exceptional support and interventions to clients with mental health needs who require early intervention and prevention support. You will:
* Support clients throughout their journey in our service.
* Empower them with the skills to cope independently.
* Deliver support and interventions aligned with our organizational values and the ethos of recovery and co-production.
* Adhere to our policies and procedures.

We’re looking for candidates who can demonstrate the core skills required for this role and align with our values and mission. We also value lived experience in the areas we support, so feel free to share this in your application.
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have:
* Lived experience of mental health care pathways, including emergency department attendance and community mental health services.
* A strong understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with diverse mental health conditions.
* Excellent listening and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with individuals in crisis.
* The ability to build and maintain trusting relationships with service users, carers, peer workers, and professionals.
* Knowledge of local mental health recovery tools, wellbeing resources, and support services.
* The capability to assess needs, risks, and aspirations, providing accurate and empathetic signposting to appropriate services.
