Job Title: Library Customer Advisor
Salary: £14,866 to £15,965 per annum
Location: Kidderminster Library (travel to Bewdley, Stourport and Tenbury Wells as required)

Worcestershire Libraries are recruiting for the role of Library Customer Advisor in the Kidderminster Cluster of libraries. The position is predominantly based in Kidderminster but requires travelling to Bewdley, Stourport and Tenbury Wells Libraries as needed. The role is diverse, exciting and involves a wide range of activities that change each day. Help customers access a wide range of resources and services, provide digital one‑to‑one support, lead events such as song or storytelling sessions for children, and host online activity groups for adults. Work in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment and enjoy learning something new each day.
Working Hours
Monday & Thursday 9:00‑5:00, Friday 9:00‑1:00 and every other Saturday 10:00‑3:00 (21.5 hours per week).
Responsibilities
* Assist customers in accessing resources and services.
* Provide digital one‑to‑one support to library users.
* Lead events and activities such as song or storytelling sessions for children and online activity groups for adults.
* Maintain a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment and continuously learn new ways to support the community.
Qualifications
* Enthusiastic, energetic and flexible with excellent customer service skills.
* A drive to find answers to questions and a willingness to learn.
* A background in retail, community work, education, early years or library work is welcome but not essential; understanding customers is crucial.
* Interest in working with people, thriving on providing excellent customer service, and motivation to join an innovative and enthusiastic team.
Qualifications
This is a permanent, part‑time position (21.5 hours per week).
