The Role
They are seeking a motivated and ambitious Finance Graduate Trainee to join their Group Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate (or final-year student) looking to build a strong foundation in finance and accounting while working towards a professional qualification (ACCA or CIMA). The role offers broad exposure to all areas of finance, including transactional processing, management accounting, group consolidation, multiple finance and business systems, FP+A and financial reporting. You will receive structured training, support with your professional studies, and hands on experience working with experienced finance professionals.
Key Duties
* Support the Group Finance team as required in all areas of finance, which may include, but is not limited to:
* Monthly management accounts, group reporting, and consolidation processes.
* Assisting with transactional finance activities such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
* Prepare and process journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
* Help in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
* Assist in maintaining financial records and ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial procedures.
* Support audit processes and liaise with external auditors as required.
* Participate in ad hoc projects and process improvement initiatives across the finance function.
* Gain exposure to systems and tools used in financial reporting and ERP systems.
* Prepare ad hoc reporting and excel and PowerBI outputs.
Skills and Qualifications
* A recent graduate (or final-year student) with a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
* Strong desire to pursue a professional accounting qualification (ACCA or CIMA).
* Excellent numeracy and analytical skills.
* Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
* Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
