Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical Bias

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer for a global business to work out of their Leyland plant to ensure their production site operates efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and maintaining our high standards.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Implement daily, weekly, and monthly inspection routines to identify and rectify issues before they lead to breakdowns.
* Conduct maintenance and repairs on single and 3-phase electrical systems, 24V control systems, and instrumentation.
* Handle maintenance and repairs on various types of pumps, agitators, presses, valves, and pipework systems.
* Ensure the site's compliance with statutory requirements such as emergency lighting, legionella control, and PAT testing for new items.
* Provide input for process modifications and participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance site performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. HNC/ONC in Engineering, or equivalent, with relevant experience in manufacturing and a good knowledge of factory operations.
2. Time-served electrical apprenticeship, fully compliant with 18th Edition IEE, testing and inspection, and CompEX regulations.
