Contract: Full-time | Initial 3–6 months with potential for extension
Redbridge Council is looking to recruit an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a well structured team.This team supports the recently implemented Discharge to Assess model.
The client offers flexible working, a fair caseload, and professional development. This role is ideal for candidates seeking impact-driven work in adult social care and reablement services.
Main Duties:
1. Conduct home assessments across South Oxfordshire – own transport required
2. Carry out bedside assessments in hospital settings
3. Promote independence and support people on their reablement journey
4. Complete Care Act assessments
5. Assess individuals and carers with complex needs in the home environment
6. Recommend and coordinate equipment and adaptations
7. Undertake manual handling assessments
8. Work in line with safeguarding procedures, promoting dignity and respect
Requirements:
9. Minimum 2 years post-qualified experience
10. Previous experience as a community-based Occupational Therapist
11. Experience with major adaptations and reablement pathways
12. Manual handling expertise
13. HCPC Registration
14. Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can assist)
15. Eligibility to work in the UK
16. Must have own vehicle and full UK driving licence
