Job Title: Qualified Social Worker – Bedfordshire – Adult’s Learning and Disabilities Team

Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for registered and experienced Qualified Adult’s Social Workers to join a busy Disabilities Team based in Bedfordshire.
What will your responsibilities be?
You will take personal responsibility for continuing professional development and maintaining performance levels. You will manage your time effectively and respond flexibly to service needs. You will undertake assessments in accordance with statutory/regulatory and operational standards, policy, and procedures for the service and in the context of assessing risk to children and young people. Planning, implementing, and reviewing a range of interventions for children, young people, and families/carers in accordance with statutory/regulatory and operational standards, policy, and procedures for the service will be part of your role. You will manage a workload independently, seeking support and suggesting solutions for workload difficulties. Making proactive use of supervision to support effective practice, reflection, and career development and to meet the objectives of Performance Development Reviews will also be expected. Additionally, you will provide support and cover for the Team Manager and/or Principal Manager. Actively participating in the performance management system, including supervision, PAR, team meetings, and service reviews, will be part of your role. You will follow departmental health and safety procedures and develop skills through work experience in various divisional situations, such as secondments, job rotation, and shadowing. Contributing to information management processes and supporting social work students on placement under the direction of the Principal or Practice Manager, acting as a workplace supervisor or Practice Teacher if appropriately trained, will also be expected. You need to understand and integrate into practice the key policies of the council in relation to social care with adults, especially multi-disciplinary working, integration, and whole family approaches.

Qualifications and Experiences:
To be successful in this role, you must have Social Work England registration, be eligible to work in the UK, hold a full UK driving licence, and have post-qualified experience. A degree level or equivalent qualification in Social Work is also required.
