Main duties of the job
As a Registered Nurse at Lakefields Neurological Centre, you will be responsible for joining a supportive multi-disciplinary team that works collaboratively to deliver personalized and rehabilitative care to people of all ages living with neurological conditions, physical disabilities, and recovering from traumatic injuries. Your duties will include providing a high level of personal care, maintaining accurate records, and working closely with therapy colleagues to ensure each individual's needs are met. The role can be physically demanding but highly rewarding, with no two days being the same and plenty of opportunities to stay engaged and motivated.

What you will be doing
As a Registered Nurse you will join a supportive multi-disciplinary team that works well together in caring for people of all ages who are living with neurological and long-term conditions, including those living with physical disabilities and recovering from traumatic injuries, and providing a high level of personal and rehabilitative care.
You will work as part of and lead wider teams alongside your therapy colleagues to deliver the individual care each person needs while maintaining accurate records.
It can be very physical working with people with limited mobility, providing personal care and although challenging, it is highly rewarding. You’ll be supported by a team of colleagues ready to lend a hand and work together to a common goal.No two days are the same, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, but also a good amount of routine.
You’ll join our teams that support people who have complex rehabilitation needs such as tracheostomies / ventilated / peg feeds and who have extensive and long-term rehabilitation goals. In some cases, people’s mobility and speech can be affected and we work closely with a range of other services including wheelchair, speech and alternative communication aid providers.

Lakefields Neurological Centre will be a 22-bed service that delivers specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy services for people with complex long-term neurological conditions who require ongoing support and assistance to maximise their functional ability and improve their quality of life.The Centre specialises in neuro-rehabilitation, tracheostomy and ventilator care. Bedrooms are adapted to individual requirements, fitted with high dependency equipment including ceiling track hoists, wall mounted suction and oxygen equipment. There are also well-equipped therapy facilities, spacious lounge areas and wheelchair access to beautiful gardens.
