The Role of a Lamination Operative
As a Lamination Operative, you’ll be responsible for operating conversion machinery to produce laminated reels safely, efficiently, and in line with specifications.
Key Responsibilities of a Lamination Operative:
Select films, materials, and operating supplies according to job specifications.
Set up and operate lamination machinery safely and efficiently.
Conduct in-process checks to ensure product quality and accuracy.
Unload, record, palletise, and package finished products as required.
Complete accurate production records in Mills/S4 systems.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
Monitor machine operation, identify and resolve issues promptly.
Report maintenance needs to prevent breakdowns.
Rework non-conforming products where necessary.
Manage waste, recycling, and housekeeping duties to site standards.
Update daily management boards and support continuous improvement.
Requirements of Lamination Operative
Has previous experience in a manufacturing or machine operation role (lamination or packaging experience advantageous).
Pays close attention to detail and maintains a high standard of work.
Has a strong focus on health, safety, and product quality.
Can problem-solve and work effectively as part of a team.
Is flexible with working shifts and committed to continuous improvement.
Your Benefits Package
Hours: Average 42 hours per week, working a 4 on / 4 off pattern (2 days / 2 nights)
Breaks: 1-hour paid break per shift
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x and 2.0x (Sundays & Bank Holidays)
