We are seeking a passionate Access & Inclusion Advisor who will provide outstanding support to students with disabilities, learning difficulties, and medical conditions across the college. The role involves managing a caseload of students and advising curriculum colleagues on strategies to support students in the classroom environment. Depending on the location, this could include supporting Adults, Apprentices, or Higher Education students, including those with EHC Plans or SEND on Study Programmes.
This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week.
Interviews are planned for 21st July 2025.
Responsibilities include:
* Assessing needs, recommending reasonable adjustments, and monitoring support strategies.
* Providing individual support to students with disabilities or medical conditions, including HE students, in line with DSA-QAG guidance.
* Supporting the preparing for adulthood agenda by promoting aspirations related to further learning, employment, or independent living, aligned with EHC Plan outcomes.
* Ensuring EHC Plan needs and outcomes are met, consulting with students on new outcomes.
* Ensuring the quality and effectiveness of support provided.
* Offering self-help strategies, referring to agencies, and liaising with college staff.
* Providing training to staff working with students with additional needs.
* Maintaining effective liaison with internal and external stakeholders.

Education & Training
* GCSE 4–9 or equivalent in Maths and English, with a willingness to pass tests if necessary.
* Degree or relevant professional qualification in a disability-related field.
Experience
* Significant experience supporting students with disabilities in post-16 education.
* Experience interpreting EHC plans and promoting positive images of disability.
* Experience supporting students with complex needs and delivering training.
