Key Responsibilities
As an M&E Managing Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all commercial aspects of M&E projects from bid through to final account. You’ll manage a team of quantity surveyors and commercial staff, provide strategic insight, and ensure projects are delivered profitably and in line with client expectations.
Expect your week to include:

Leading the commercial function for multiple projects

Preparing cost reports, valuations, and contract documentation
*
Managing cashflow forecasts, CVRs, and final accounts
*
Negotiating with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
*
Identifying risks and opportunities, and managing them proactively
*
Mentoring and supporting junior commercial staff
*
Working closely with operations, pre-construction, and design teams
You’ll be given real autonomy to manage your workload, with the support of a leadership team that values a solutions-first approach.
Skills & Experience Required
*
Proven experience in quantity surveying within the M&E sector
*
Strong knowledge of NEC, JCT, and standard forms of contract
*
Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to risk management
*
Confidence in leading commercial negotiations and building relationships
*
Strong reporting skills and financial analysis capability
*
Relevant qualifications (e.g. HNC/HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar)
*
Ability to manage and mentor junior team members
