Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, differentiated English lessons that engage and challenge Teach small groups or individual pupils in a calm, supportive environment Track and assess progress, adapting teaching strategies for maximum impact Help shape individual learning and behaviour plans that support real outcomes Take responsibility for English subject leadership across key stages Contribute to school-wide improvement initiatives Foster a positive, respectful classroom culture in line with our school values Keep learning safe, structured, and full of possibility – on and off-site Who we are looking for Whether you’re an experienced SEN teacher or an English specialist ready for a rewarding new challenge — you’ll find purpose and passion here. A degree in English or a related subject Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE Strong subject knowledge and a creative, inclusive approach to teaching Experience of working with diverse learning needs and/or in a SEN environment A commitment to positive behaviour support, inclusion, and achievement for all Excellent communication skills, empathy, and a can-do attitude About the School Belmont Secondary is an independent, specialist day school for boys 11 to 18, catering for pupils with a wide range of needs.
