Data Governance Business Partner - Champion Data Excellence
We're seeking an experienced data professional who looking for their next move in their career, stepping up to a Data Governance position, you will work alongside the Data Governance Director to implement their comprehensive data governance framework
What You'll Be Doing
* Lead from the front - delivering and enforcing data governance policies and frameworks organisation-wide
* Drive Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives, ensuring exceptional data consistency, quality, and reliability
* Deliver comprehensive policies - review data management procedures and guidelines that set the standard
* Be the expert - Serve as the go-to subject matter expert, providing guidance and training to stakeholders at all levels
* Ensure compliance - Monitor regulatory requirements and industry standards to keep us ahead of the curve
* Own the data lifecycle - Manage organisational data from creation to retirement through robust policies
* Drive continuous improvement - Assess and enhance our data governance practices to maintain competitive advantage
Essential Experience:
* Proven track record in Master Data Management and enterprise data governance initiatives
* Strong examples of data cleansing, deduplication, standardization, and ongoing governance to maintain data quality over time.
* Experience in implementing and driving through data governance policies and procedures.
* Strong credentials in data governance with relevant certifications or specialist training
* Technical expertise in deploying and integrating new data management software platforms.
* Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities
* Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
* Proven ability to work independently and successfully lead cross-functional teams.
Highly Desirable:
* Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field
* Professional certification in Data Governance, Data Management, or related disciplines (DAMA MDM, DCAM, etc.)
* Experience in regulated environments or sectors with strict data compliance requirements
