Overview
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, qualified HCPC/NMC registered Anaesthetic ODP or RN (with an anaesthetic qualification) to join our Theatre team in Glan Clwyd Hospital. Glan Clwyd Hospital is a busy General District Hospital located in Denbighshire with access to major routes and links to Snowdonia and the Llyn Peninsula. Our Anaesthetic team covers a wide range of specialties and works closely with ITU and the cardiac arrest/trauma team to support internal and external transfers. Practitioners are encouraged to participate in training and development of students and their own professional development.
The post holder may have the opportunity to utilise their clinical skills across the peri-operative period in the anaesthetic, surgical and post-operative care phases.
Responsibilities
The post holder is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidence-based patient care. Clinical expertise is utilised during all phases of the peri-operative period. Skilled assistance is provided in the anaesthetic, surgical and post-operative care of the patient. The post holder will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team, meet patient needs, and operate with limited direct supervision. They will assist in the management and organisation of clinical and satellite areas, and participate in the education and development of other staff members. The post holder will be encouraged and supported to utilise their clinical skills during the anaesthetic, surgical and post-anaesthetic care phases of the peri-operative period. Welsh language ability is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are welcome to apply.

* Previous experience of working in theatres covering a wide variety of surgical specialties
* Diploma He or BSc (Hons) in Operating Department Practice (UK)
