Safran UK is based in Gloucester and operates the UK Shared Service Centre putting service delivery at the centre of the business and includes Transactional Finance, Indirect Procurement, HR and Tax and International Mobility management departments. We promote the sharing of ideas, collaboration and improved communication, which can lead to better decision-making and innovation. Key responsibilities: - Encourage the use of supplier relationship management tools and techniques to leverage group spend. - Oversee departmental adherence to policies; procedures; processes; risk; and compliance whilst achieving departmental objectives. - Develop, motivate and performance manage the Purchasing team on a day to day basis in the achievement of agreed personal development plans and business objectives. - Deliver improvements in cost and service levels from indirect suppliers to Safran UK business units. - Ensure full and accurate reporting of performance. - Develop strategies for Indirect spend, ensuring full alignment with the needs of UK businesses. - Manage strategic negotiations and where appropriate negotiate directly with major suppliers. - Support Buyers and Commodity Managers as required in key negotiations. - Ensure alignment of UK activities with the needs of Safran. - Assist with the Purchasing budgeting process and be responsible for achieving the agreed targets. - Project manage complex projects and people resources. - Work closely with Global Purchasing Team.
