Role Overview As part of the EMEA Core Compliance team, the Compliance Advisory Associate will report to the Core Compliance Team Lead and play an important role in supporting TP ICAP’s regulatory compliance agenda. The position involves close collaboration with business divisions and the wider EMEA Compliance function to strengthen the firm’s compliance culture, provide advisory support on conduct of business requirements, and assist with policy development, governance processes, and regulatory submissions. The successful candidate will contribute to the day-to-day delivery of compliance activities, help maintain the firm’s control framework, and ensure TP ICAP continues to operate in line with applicable regulations and internal policies. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues across the broking divisions, support functions, and the broader Compliance team. Provide clear, accurate, and practical advice on regulatory and conduct matters to stakeholders across EMEA. Support the drafting, updating, and communication of compliance policies and internal procedures (e.g., Conflicts of Interest Policy, Compliance Manual). Assist with the design and implementation of compliance controls and operate specific controls owned by the Compliance function. Represent the Compliance team at internal governance forums and working groups when required. Support the review of legal entity and individual regulatory permissions and assist with applications for new or amended permissions. Manage administrative processes such as exchange registrations (e.g., Eurex, ICE, CME) and support regulatory filings and submissions. Monitor regulatory developments, identify key changes, and support communication to stakeholders. Contribute to ad hoc compliance initiatives and projects to support continuous improvement across the function. Experience & Competencies Essential Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently and respectfully across all levels of the organisation. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and disciplines. Awareness of wholesale financial markets and relevant financial services regulation. Willingness and ability to learn and interpret complex regulatory requirements, researching issues independently where needed. Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. A continuous improvement mindset, with attention to accuracy and quality in all tasks. Desired Previous experience in a Compliance, Regulatory, or Operational Risk role within financial services. Understanding of key regulatory bodies (e.g., FCA, NFA) and frameworks such as MiFID II, SMCR, or MAR. Experience analysing regulations and assessing their impact on business processes. Familiarity with execution methodologies (e.g., Name Give-Up, Matched Principal, Exchange Give-Up). Understanding of risk-based approaches, control frameworks, and compliance monitoring.
